Dr. Andre Burger
Qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 1998 From Onderstepoort. Was a member of the Royal College Of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and worked across the UK for 5yrs after qualifying. Joined the Nelspruit Animal Hospital in 2003. Knowledgeable in medicine and surgery of all companion animals and exotics. Loves consulting and interacting with the clients and patients. His passion is indigenous gardening, birding and his family. Loves sport and outdoor life.
Dr Ivan Kotze
Ivan qualified from Onderstepoort as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2018. He completed his compulsory community service year in Bizana Veterinary Clinic, Eastern Cape , South Africa. He then joined the Nelspruit Animal Clinic in March 2020. He is passionate about birding, photography and outdoor life.
Dr. Andre Beytell
Qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 1975 From Onderstepoort. Joined the Army for 1yr working at the equestrian centre. Became a State Vet for 4yrs working in Barberton and Vryburg. Finally joining the Nelspruit Animal Hospital in 1980 as a partner. He retired as partner at the end of Sept 2017. He will however still be conducting our large animal and wildlife work under the name of FARMVET. He is an extremely talented large animal vet, specialising in production animals, with management, ecology and wildlife. He has a passion for landscaping with indigenous plants and batik artwork.
Dr Heinrich Henzen
Dr Heinrich Henzen qualified from Onderstepoort as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2019. He then completed his compulsory community service year in Kimberley in the Northen Cape. He has joined the rest of the team at the Nelspruit Animal Hospital in February 2022. Heinrich has a passion for outdoor living, which includes birdwatching and keeping fit with his wife.
Qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1986 studying through the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) London UK. Has been with Nelspruit Animal Hospital since 1996 moved across to Central Vet in 1997 and took up the responsibility of managing the shop from then onwards. Owner of an Irish Terrier. Owns her own business running a house sitting agency called 4paws and helps at the Lowveld Dog Training Club. Has a wealth of knowledge in the animal industry.
Joined Central Vet in 1999. Previously worked on a Thoroughbred Breeding Stud Farm in the Natal Midlands adding to her knowledge of horses in the shop. Studied for a diploma as a Veterinary Support assistant with Stonebridge College from the UK. Courses completed as a Nutritional advisor through Hills, Eukanuba and Royal Canin. Owned Staffies and has a passion for the breed. Loves wildlife.
Joined the Nelspruit Animal Hospital as a receptionist in 2014, has an easy going and friendly manner and puts clients at ease. She previously ran a guests house and worked at a chemist for 10yrs. Owns a Jack Russell and a Yorkie.
Tracey Chambers – Receptionist.
Tracey joined our team at the Nelspruit Animal Hospital in December 2020. She comes from a background in hospitality management since 1993.
Managing various 2 to 5 star hotels. Loves working with people and has a passion for animals. Owner of 2 Pitbull terriers and a chow x Rottweiler and one domestic cat
After temporarily helping out at the Nelspruit Animal Hospital, she joined our practice as our full time hygienist in 2003.
Garden Landscaper, he has been tending to the partners and practice gardens since 1984. He loves our indigenous plants and has pride in his work.
Senior Kennel assistant, and joined the Nelspruit Animal Hospital in 1987. He has dedicated himself to the care of our patients over the years.
Rassia is 22 years old, joined our team in Sept 2016 as a kennel assistant. Our youngest member, enthusiastic and has a background in the grooming industry and a love of football.
